For Scandinavia lovers, this is an experience of a lifetime. Walk down centuries-old cobblestone streets of grand capitals, meander through charming villages, sample local delicacies and be awestruck by the landscapes—including giant fjords—you’ll see by foot, train, boat, plane and coach. The overnight cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo lets you discover the beauty of Scandinavia, including the two main capitals Copenhagen and Oslo, the North Sea and the world famous Oslo fjord. You will explore the ancient Bergen in Norway, and then have plenty of time to enjoy Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. This tour is for those who wish to get to know Scandinavia in a fairly short time and at a very competitive rate.
DAY 01: COPENHAGEN, DANEMARK ARRIVAL
Arrive at your hotel on your own. In the early evening meet your Tour Manager for a briefing on the tour and see your fellow travelers. Overnight Copenhagen.
DAY 02: COPENHAGEN (B)
After the buffet breakfast, enjoy a city tour, where you get to see Little Mermaid guarding the port, Nyhavn with all its restaurants and small boats, the City Hall Square and other main features of Copenhagen. The afternoon is free for individual visits, perhaps to the Tivoli Amusement park or choose an Optional Activity: Roskilde Tour. Explore the 1000-year history of Roskilde dating from the pre-Christian Viking Age. Visit the underground church ruin, the fishing village and the World Heritage Site, Roskilde Cathedral. Since the early 15th century the Cathedral has been designated as Denmark’s royal burial place which together with the construction of the remarkable building are the reasons that it is listed as one of the World Heritage.
DAY 03: COPENHAGEN (B, D)
Buffet breakfast. You are free to explore Copenhagen on your own. Your Tour Manager will be happy to advise you about places of interest to visit, or you are welcome to join our Optional Activity: North Zealand Three Castles Tour. Visit Kronborg Castle, a castle made famous for the setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and delve into the intriguing history of the fortress. Then admire the architecture of Fredensborg Palace, residence of the Danish royal family and the ancient Frederiksborg Castle.
Afternoon transfer by coach from hotel to DFDS Seaways terminal for your overnight cruise to Oslo, departing at 16.30 hours. Enjoy your first Scandinavian smorgasbord dinner as you cruise up the Kattegat. Accommodation in 2-berth inside cabins with shower/WC. We strongly recommend bringing an overnight bag for this cruise to avoid having to carry your suitcases to and from the cabin.
DAY 04: OSLO, NORWAY (B)
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast as you cruise along the enchanting Oslo Fjord. Arrival in Oslo around 09.45 hours, followed by a 3-hour guided tour of the Norwegian capital. You will visit the impressive Vigeland Sculpture Park. Evening is free to explore. Overnight at the downtown hotel in Oslo.
DAY 05: OSLO (B)
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. This day is at leisure, explore the cozy city on your own or take an Optional Activity: River Bike Tour in Oslo. During this approximately 3-hour bike tour we will ride the path along the Akerselva River, with a stop at the heart of Oslo’s food scene, the indoor market Mathallen. Be amazed by the waterfalls in the middle of the city. Enjoy a stop at the stunningly modern Opera and climb to the rooftop for a breathtaking view.
DAY 06: OSLO – SOGNEFJORD - BERGEN (B)
Buffet breakfast. Today you will explore the forest and river areas of Norway, following the Hallingdal Valley, known for its folkloric tradition. When you arrive in Flåm, you will have a 2-hour cruise on the Sognefjord, one of the longest and deepest in the world with its unspoiled nature and dramatic scenery before you continue to Bergen, the second biggest city of Norway beautifully situated and surrounded by seven mountains. Overnight in Bergen.
DAY 07: BERGEN (B)
After buffet breakfast you will be invited to discover the remarkable city of the old Hansa. You will enjoy the view of the Bryggen area with old wooden houses that are a part of the UNESCO World Heritage as well as the traditional Fish Market. Afternoon is free to explore Bergen on your own.
DAY 08: BERGEN – STOCKHOLM (B)
Buffet breakfast. Departure transfer to international airport outside Bergen. We will take flight to Stockholm – the capital of Sweden. Arrival at Arlanda International Airport in Stockholm. Transfer to your hotel in central Stockholm. Overnight in Stockholm.
DAYS 09: STOCKHOLM (B)
Buffet breakfast. Today you will enjoy a panoramic city tour. Stockholm —the beauty on the water – is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. This amazingly beautiful capital, built on 14 islands with bridges, gives an enchanting feeling of space and light. You will walk around the charming Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets, passing The Royal Palace as well as the Great Church, where the present King and Queen were married in 1976. The afternoon is at leisure.
DAY 10: STOCKHOLM (B)
Buffet breakfast. The day is at your leisure to explore the capital of Sweden. You can visit to the City Hall or the Wasa Museum. You can also take a boat tour if you’re looking to see Stockholm from the water or join an Optional Activity: Uppsala Tour. Uppsala is one of Sweden’s four major cities, offering everything from a 13th century cathedral and 16th-century ruins to cultural festivals and cutting-edge scientific research from its two universities—Uppsala University and University of Agricultural Science. Overnight in Stockholm.
DAY 11: STOCKHOLM (B)
Buffet breakfast. Today is the day to say farewell to the tour, your travel companions and to the Above Zest team.

Also, you should schedule your return flight from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, is an international airport located in Sweden, near the town of Marsta, 23 miles north of Stockholm (ARN).
