Day 1 LIMA
Welcome to Peru! Arrive at any time in Lima, then check in your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day. Please try to arrive before 9:30pm for an important group dinner meeting where we'll meet with our Tour Guide and other group members.

Day 2 LIMA
You will be picked up from your hotel at 09.00am. The Lima City Tour begins visiting the Plaza the Armas, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the center of the Plaza a bronze fountain dating back from the 1560s is located together with the Cathedral, note the splendidly carved stalls, the silver covered altars surrounded by fine woodwork, mosaic covered walls bearing the coats of arms of Lima and Pizarro. Then you'll visit the Monastery of San Francisco, this is famous for the Sevillian tile work and paneled ceiling in the cloisters, the catacombs under the church and part of the monastery are well worth seeing, you'll also visit the old colonial streets in the center of the city. The tour will go through the Colonial, Contemporary and Traditional Area of Lima.

After visiting Lima city we will continue to the Larco Herrera Museum, which is an 18th century colonial-style museum and houses the largest and most impressive ceramic collection in the world, with about 55,000 pre-Colombian clay pots on display. The collection concentrates on the refined ceramics of the Moche Dynasty, the people who lived along the northern coast of Peru between 200 and 700 AD. You can learn about their religion, agriculture, transport, dance and music through their ceramic designs and shapes. The Moche are also renowned for their fascinating erotic pottery and the famous collection is on display in the separate 'Erotic Hall', depicting sexual practices of several Peruvian cultures in a lifelike, explicit and often humorous way. At the end of the tour we will stop by a nice restaurant and enjoy a meal, where after we will transfer you to your hotel.

You will be picked up from your hotel 02.00am in the morning heading to the bus terminal, from where your bus to Paracas will depart at 03.45am. There will be an opportunity having breakfast before entering the Ballestas. Once in Paracas you will have an experience of pure nature and amazing views is unfolded for you at Paracas National Reserve, the natural jewel of Peru. Start your visit with an early marine excursion to Ballestas Islands, a chain of rock formations home of a rich diversity of life; sea lions, penguins, pelicans among other species.

As we sail through the coast we'll discover an enigmatic figure, El Candelabro, a large shape carved into the coast related to the Nasca Lines. A whole new experience awaits us, at the Paracas Reserve, where we will drive through the coast and the most beautiful shores this natural reserve has to offer. After the visit we will stop at a
restaurant if you would like to try the food from the coast of Peru.

After the tour you will be transferred to the bus terminal in Paracas, where your bus back to Lima will depart at 16.15pm. You will arrive to Lima around 20.00pm and be transferred to your hotel in Miraflores.

You will be transferred from your hotel in Miraflores to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco. Once in Cusco you will be welcomed by our team and a car will transfer you to Hotel San Agustin Dorado. During the day you can take a nice walk down the streets and feel the positive energy of Cusco. Visit the souvenir market, the cafes or one of the neat restaurants.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 13:00pm. The tour begins outside the city going through the old constructions Incas of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco. Famous for its large external walls, where some of the stones exceed 9 meters high and weigh over 350 tons. The tour will stop by the Main Plaza, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun, Korikancha. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel at 7:55am, followed up by an excursion to the Urubamba Valley, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit to the Inca monuments around Pisac and the picturesque Indian Pisac Market. It is the shopping paradise of the Andes where barter is still practiced. Enjoy the unique atmosphere together with a typical lunch.

In the afternoon, while we pass through the Towns of Calca and Urubamba where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. We visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle. There you can walk through the quaint streets of the town and get a good idea how the Strategic Military, Religious, and Agricultural Centre were like during the era of the Inca Empire.

In Ollantaytambo we will follow you to the train station, where your adventure to Machu Picchu begins. From the train you can enjoy the amazing Andean landscape while listening to Andean music until you arrive to the Machu Picchu town of Aguas Calientes, where you can eat on a nice restaurant and take a swim at the natural hot springs. The guide will follow you to your Hotel Hatun Samay where you will stay over the night.

Early in the morning your guide will meet you at the bus station in Aguas Calientes where the bus to Machu Picchu departs. During a tour through this magnificent site, your bilingual guide will explain all about the historical sanctuary of Machu Picchu and visit all the major sites within the lost city. The guided tour will take around 2:30-3 hours.

After the guided tour, you can spend the rest of your time exploring Machu Picchu on your own. If you like, you can exit the park to eat a snack at the cafe and re-enter the park. Your ticket is good for the entire day. Afterwards we will descend to Aguas Calientes. Buses leave to Aguas Calientes every 5 minutes (30 minute trip). You will be provided a lunch in one of the beautiful restaurants. Thereafter we will return by train to Ollantaytambo. The train ride is about 100 minutes. A car will be waiting in Ollantaytambo to take you to your hotel in Cusco (approx. 90 min).

We will depart for the Maras Moray Tour from your hotel in Cusco in the morning, passing through the town of Maras, which has an interesting mix of Inca and colonial influence. We will proceed on to Moray, which has an impressive Inca monument of giant terraces in the shape of nearly perfect circles that is believed to have been used for agricultural experimentation, because of the increasing temperature of the terraces the more you descend further into the complex and the well-developed irrigation system.

From there we will head to Salineras, the salt mine. At the salt mine you will see many ponds filled with salt from a natural underground salt spring that comes from the adjacent mountain. The inhabitants of the area have worked and harvested the salt the same way since the time of the Incas. You can watch them work and even buy a small bag of the fresh salt to take home and use in your kitchen. On the way back to Cusco we will stop by the town of Chincheros to visit the ruins of the Royal Hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. We will admire a well-preserved Inca Wall in the Main Square and visit the beautiful Colonial temple built on Inca foundations, with interesting frescoes in the portico. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Cusco.

Around 9:00am we leave from Cusco for the Andahuaylillas (a 45-minute journey), a small village famous for its beautiful church. We will see beautiful murals of traditional Cusquenian art, amazing embroideries, and carved altars. From there we will go to Piquillacta, where we will explore the ruins of the pre-Inca culture of Wari. Later the tour takes us to Tipon, which was believed to be an agricultural laboratory, which also has an impressive irrigation system. Tipon is also known for its "cuyerias" where cuy (guinea pig) are cooked in large ovens. If you're interested, we can stop to try this traditional Peruvian cuisine. We will return to your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 PM.

Day 10 LIMA
In the morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Cusco Airport for your flight to Lima. Once you arrive in Lima a car will transfer you from Lima Airport to your hotel.

This half-day tour takes you to the famous Pachacamac Temple, located only a short distance from Lima. Built by different leaders throughout the centuries and between the years 200 and 1450 AD, this religious compound is made entirely out of clay and houses the giant pyramids of the sun and moon. This comprehensive sightseeing tour will give you an insight on the culture, history and architecture of both the Inca and pre-Inca people. After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 11 LIMA
Spend the last day in Peru at our leisure like shopping for souvenirs and finishing some last minute sightseeing. Tonight you can head out for a final night on the town.
